Job Offer Holders Program in Ontario

Foreign labor force
  • Having a permanent job offer from an employer in Ontario in job groups with NOCs 0, A and B
  • Providing the minimum required work experience
  • Willingness to live and work in the province of Ontario
  • Having legal residence in Canada at the time of application
Ontario graduates
  • Having a graduation degree from one of the Canadian colleges or universities (1 or 2 year full-time study course)
  • More than half of the study period has been spent in Canada
  • Having a permanent job offer from an employer in Ontario in job groups with NOCs 0, A and B
  • Willingness to live and work in the province of Ontario
  • Having legal residence in Canada at the time of application

  • Having at least 24 months of work experience as an owner or senior manager in the last 60 months

  • Presenting the minimum net worth, which will be different according to the location of the business:

  • For businesses located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the minimum net worth requirement is $800,000.

  • For businesses outside the GTA, the minimum net worth requirement is $400,000.

  • For digital communication/ICT businesses (regardless of business location), the minimum net worth required is $400,000.

  • Providing the minimum personal investment, the amount of which varies according to the location of the proposed business:

  • For businesses located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the minimum personal investment required is $600,000.

  • For businesses outside the GTA, the minimum personal investment required is $200,000.

  • For digital communication/ICT businesses (regardless of business location), the minimum personal investment required is $200,000.

  • Owning at least 33.3% (one third) of business shares

  • Creation of at least two permanent full-time jobs for Canadian citizens and residents in the Greater Toronto Area and at least one permanent job outside the Greater Toronto Area

  • If they buy one of the existing businesses, the applicant must create two permanent full-time jobs in addition to the current employees.

  • In case of purchasing one of the existing businesses, have at least one business-related exploratory trip to Ontario during the 12 months before submitting the EOI.
