For businesses outside the GTA, the minimum net worth requirement is $400,000.

For digital communication/ICT businesses (regardless of business location), the minimum net worth required is $400,000.

Providing the minimum personal investment, the amount of which varies according to the location of the proposed business:

For businesses located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the minimum personal investment required is $600,000.

For businesses outside the GTA, the minimum personal investment required is $200,000.

For digital communication/ICT businesses (regardless of business location), the minimum personal investment required is $200,000.

Owning at least 33.3% (one third) of business shares

Creation of at least two permanent full-time jobs for Canadian citizens and residents in the Greater Toronto Area and at least one permanent job outside the Greater Toronto Area

If they buy one of the existing businesses, the applicant must create two permanent full-time jobs in addition to the current employees.
